Requirements for Rivers State Teachers Recruitment 2026

The following requirements must be met by applicants for the Rivers State Government teachers recruitment exercise.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have at least one of the following:

• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
• Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant teaching subject.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) for non-education degree holders.
• Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) as a minimum of primary school teachers’ qualification.

The government made it clear that NCE remains to be the minimum acceptable qualification for primary school teaching jobs.

TRCN Certificate

Also, applicants must have a valid Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) Certificate. NYSC Requirement
